Armineh Ohanian Accepted as Goodreads author
I was so happy to be accepted to be one of Goodreads authors. I participated in their book giveaway program.
I participated in a giveaway program of Goodreads in February with my “Nine Years to Freedom,” and “The Apple Tree Blossoms in the Fall.” I tried to give away three copies of “The Apple Tree Blossoms in the Fall,” choosing only the US and the UK. 780 people participated. With “Nine Years to Freedom,” I decided to give only one copy and choose readers in the US and a few other different countries. 1081 people showed interest in reading my book. I sent out the books to the winners, and am impatiently waiting to read their reviews on Goodreads. I think authors should try the giveaway program on Goodreads, if they haven’t already done so, it is a good way of getting one’s name out.

Oxford Times: Author Gives Some Advice to University Students
I was invited to talk about my book at Oxford University for the international women’s day. I talked about my book: The Apple Tree Blossoms in the Fall to an audience of Oxford student undergraduates and graduates. It was a real honor to be invited. you can read the press coverage in the Oxford Times as well as on the Oxford University website. I was also asked to give a workshop and share my experience on how to write a book.

The book, a fictional memoire, is about the journey of life of an Armenian woman born and rasied in Iran. It is about her adventurous life and problems which always miraculously get solved.
